Thermal Source
The Majestic Andes Mountains are an active volcanic arc whose underground movements have given origin to a unique thermal source in Puyehue. The lava flows that emanate from Casablanca Volcano permeate deep into the ground imbuing our hotel and Puyehue National Park with their benefits.
Puyehue’s Thermal Waters
The waters that spring up in Puyehue are the result of the magical union of the rain that seeps deep into the ground and the heat of the magmatically originated thermal source. The rain falls and travels for 60 years from the surface, through the different layers of the Earth, all the way to the thermal source. There, it reaches temperatures of 43°C to 86°C. Finally, after this very long process, the water springs up again from the ground. During its journey, the water acquires minerals that are important and beneficial for our health, becoming a source of well-being and balance for our organism.
